“Do you still want to study?”
Bumped into a teacher yesterday that changed my trajectory of my future 24years ago.
I did badly for my exam and I have no where to go. I am on the waitlist. Got a phone call from Mrs Heng at 10.30am (I wasn’t awake then). A firm voice on the other asked, “Do you still want to study? See me tomorrow morning at 9am”
She believed in my potential, pushed me to every possible cca, every opportunity to shine. Even my class mate said she is my fairy god mother.
I told my son, if without her, I may not be the Papa now. With 3 businesses and a lovely family.
