I don’t like my drawing

“I don’t like my design!!!”

I heard a participant sulking and complaining her mandala drawing at the half way mark. She was encouraged to keep on continuing where she left off.

What we expect and what is in realistic could be different. We might expect something “more” beautiful.

But what is “more”?

How to measure “more”?

Mandala is a mindful exercise. Someone mentioned that we need to be calm first before we can draw the mandala.

I beg to differ. It is the action(drawing mandala), then you can possibly feel calm after. Feeling upset can be one potential feeling emerge just like the lady who was complaining. As long as we are mindful and aware of it, and how do we sit with the feelings and regulate, that make the mandala exercise useful.

Make a guess which is mine🤭
